Release: Sidebar Reorganization V1

We’ve kickstarted our sidebar reorganization campaign. We will gradually introduce improvements to the sidebar over the next few cycles (first and primarily for organization dashboards and then gradually to individual and collective dashboards).

Sidebar redesign

Firstly our sidebar has had a makeover! You may have noticed that the sidebar is now standalone, scrollable and can be toggled open and closed.

vs Hosted Funds Filter

Fiscal Hosts will notice a new pattern emerging on the various tools within the Dashboard. This Filter allows you to view your Organization and Hosted Funds separately or all together. We have initially applied this to the ‘Incoming contributions’, ‘Expected funds’ and ‘Incomplete contributions’ tool.

Incoming contributions

Under the Contributions section in the Dashboard we have merged the ‘To Collectives’ and ‘To {Organization}’ tool into ‘Incoming contributions”. You can use the new Organization vs Hosted Funds Filter to switch between the two.

Expected Funds

Previously the Expected Funds tool showed both incomplete manual payment contributions and expected funds created by Fiscal Host admins. Moving forward this tool has been split.

The ‘Expected funds’ tool will now only show expected funds that have been added by a Fiscal Host admins. For example you are aware that a collective is expecting $3000 in funding from a recent grant application.

Contributions that have been pledged via a manual payment method will now appear in the ‘Incomplete contributions’ tool. Once they have been received and reconciled (“Add received funds” action, previously known as “Mark as complete”), they will disappear from this tool and appear in the Incoming Contributions tool.

You can find both of these tools under Contributions (see image above).
